Game Economy Designer - Console Free-to-Play

As Game Economy Designer, you will participate in the development of a new innovative project. Working under the Lead Game Designer, you will design the in-game economy and corresponding features. You will also need to define the metrics, which will enable you to balance and fine-tune the game’s economy, and work closely with the development and publishing team to see those metrics implemented and designs refined. Once the game is launched, and throughout soft-launch you will be responsible for providing constant data-driven recommendations on the game’s economic model and design in order to improve the game’s financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and audit the in-game economy in order to drive long-term retention and conversion.
  • Identify the potential sale drivers for the different product categories in the game economy, and define the key points of exposure for those drivers.
  • Define the virtual products and their statistics with the development team, and understand how each of them contributes to the game dynamics.
  • Manage pricing of virtual products as to create specific price point roles, and implement selling strategies for various price points.
  • Balance the needs for the virtual products, their price, their relationship to one another, their life cycle, and their streams of availability.
  • Define the project’s KPIs.
  • Analyse the evolution of the metrics you defined to balance the in-game economy, and report suggestions for the overall game design.
  • Design live events to increase player engagement and drive conversion.

Essential Skills:

  • Specialised education in Game Economy Design and/or extensive experience in the design, and live support of free-to-play games.
  • Detailed understanding of a free-to-play player’s behaviours and latest business models.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations within the game.

UX Designer - Console

We’re looking for a seasoned UX Designer to work with us on an exciting project and help drive the UX process, from technical specifications through to functional implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating an efficient, functional and visually arresting UI.
  • Drive all phases of the UX design process, from concept through to implementation considering the design fundamentals and user experience.
  • Research and solve any UI barriers for players through iteration based on internal feedback.

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience creating UX for games, with a minimum of 1 console title shipped.
  • Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
  • Drive and passion for creating great user experiences and appealing visual design.

UI Artist - Console

Key Responsibilities:

  • 2+ years experience of working in games.

You've worked with all the different aspects of game development, and you're looking for the opportunity to put it all together to make a great FPS.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support and educate everyone on available Unreal features.
  • Work closely with designers and other team members to create and improve gameplay systems.
  • Implementation of software in C++ and other languages.
  • Drive development and take ownership in a variety of systems such as character construction within the engine, effective content-creation pipelines, and excellent use of Simplygon.

You will already know the intricacies inherent in large FPS titles, and you will be eager to jump aboard and immediately start contributing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive development in a variety of systems such as procedural mission elements, UI implementation, content creation tools, and character controllers.
  • Work closely with designers and other content creators to create/improve gameplay systems.
  • Implementation of software in C++ and other languages.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.

NEW! Development Tester

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to become part of our development team as a Development Tester.

Your role will include testing and verifying new and existing in-game features and functionality. You will be creating and updating bugs in our database as well as writing and implementing new test cases. You will also be the point of contact to the external Quality Assurance teams liaising on bugs raised and regression testing.

In the Player Support role, you will also be the first point of contact with our players, so you will be providing the highest quality assistance to the existing and growing player base. As a Development Tester you will need to be enthusiastic when helping our players and be passionate about developing games to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Testing in-game functionality and features to ensure our games are of the highest quality and standard
  • Regression testing and verifying of fixed bugs
  • Writing and creating test cases to ensure all in-game functionality is checked thoroughly
  • Working with different disciplines within the development team providing useful and quality feedback
  • Liaise with external QA teams, making sure bugs are raised correctly and to the highest standard for the internal development team

We are looking for a games artist who is capable of working as part of multi-disciplined team generating and maintaining content across multiple projects. The job is for a generalist with knowledge of numerous artistic roles outlined below.

  • Generation of 3D assets and VFX, optimised for a mobile and console platforms.
  • Generation of concept and 2D assets for in-game including UI.
  • Rigging and animation of assets.

We’re looking for a seasoned Audio Designer to work with us on an exciting new project to help drive the audio development process, from sound effect creation and technical implementation to overseeing voice over sessions and music composition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the sound effects for the game.
  • Produce consistent, quality audio for all areas of the title including SFX, VO and Music.
  • Working closely with the game design team to deliver the high quality audio deliverables on time.
  • Define the audio production pipeline for the project.
